Fairly New, Looking for Opponent.(Closed)

Post by jonreb31 »

Hey all,

I've been playing WITP for about 6 months now against the AI and feel keen on starting a PBEM. I'm still somewhat inexperienced at WITP and have a lot to learn so I'd prefer someone in the beginner-intermediate skill range. I can play quite frequently for the next month or two, although days can vary since I'm visiting family.

I'm hoping for a fair, realistic and determined fight. While the war running ahistorical is unavoidable the gamey ideas of chinese divisions moving to other theatres of war, submarine invasions across the pacific, free pilot training on empty bases and other such things that would not happen in the real world don't fit with me. Apart from a historical december 7th(flexible) I don't have any preference on any mods, scenario, settings or side, so suggestions are welcome. Just want to get my guns rattling!

Got it, thanks. If anyone else is interested feel free to PM. I can probably do more than one game.

You should play Japan, you'll feel right at home being the underdog, slowly squeezed by a numerically stronger opponent.

No Merrimack though

sorry, CSS Virginia

Closed, got two opponents.

@John 3rd - Thanks, but it's Jackson who makes it possible! [:D]

@Q-Ball - Indeed the underdog Japan is such a daunting task that it gets me tingling. I have one game as Japan and one as Allies, so it should be interesting. Too bad I can't revive the CSS Virginia up for the fray, her 229mm Dahlgrens could have done so much. [:'(]

I have the time for yet another opponent. Would actually be pretty fun to start an AAR and get my fury recorded, so anyone who also wants to start an AAR or at least swear to General Lee himself not to peek in mine would be a plus.

A grand campaign would suit me, anything starting from Dec 7th to May 1st 1942. Always open to other scenarios though.
