AGEOD’S American Civil War - The Blue and the Gray is a historical operational strategy game with a simultaneous turn-based engine (WEGO system) that places players at the head of the USA or CSA during the American Civil War (1861-1865).

Simple the best CW game made to date. My only pet peeve is i wish the battles could be tactically controlled, now that would be something. Other then that the game rocks. So rich and detailed any CW buff will go nuts with this one. The map is great and the way the game plays you really understand what each side was up against. This is my pick for top CW game.

I hope to agree with you soon, Krec. But I've just started to wrap my poor little brain around AACW and am struggling to actually get into the flow. I ran into the same difficulties with FoF, though, so I expect to be up & running reasonably well within a month or so. [:)]

Right now, my favorite ACW game is Forge of Freedom, but we'll see once I get the hang of AACW.

One of my favorites, even though I have yet to win a PBEM as the North.

You are right, this game is fun and addictive! I have many CW titles and really enjoy them all but this one is cool. In some respects a tactical battle would be nice even if it goes to a simplified battle map with chits. That would add a certain flair to an already great game
games:
1. AGEOD Blue and Gray
2. John Tiller's Battleground Series
3. Combat Mission: Beyond Overlord
4. Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
5. V for Victory Games
6. Silent Hunter III
7. Silent Hunter IV
8. Rise and Fall of the Third Re
