MODS - Only Sounds

Post by Uffz Feuerhake »

[font="Verdana"]Hello community,

this thread should be used only for posting new sounds for the game.
Further fruitful comments and discussions about SOUNDS without attachments should be lead in a new thread in the commonly part of the H&M-forum, so it is easy to find the different sounds without reading the countless comments.

Thank you! [:)]

MOD - Sounds - Music

The first attachments are about new background music during a battle.

The three wav-files are contemporary Prussian marches (1706 - 1756) with original instrumentation!
Of course they are not the known Prussian goose-step marches of 1914/1939 with ear-battering brass instruments!

Try it out...it could be a new battlefield atmosphere.

Copy and paste the new files Theme1.mp3, Theme2.mp3 and Theme3.mp3 in the folder:
Horse and Musket Volume 1 / SupportFiles / BattleFiles / Default / Audio

Don't forget to save the original files first!

MODS - Sounds - Music

The next attachments are changed Leader-"Activated / Failed Activation"-jingels.
The new sound is a soldiers voice with the word /sentence:

* Activated = "Steady"
* Failed Activation = "can not carry out that order, Sir"

I can offer these sounds in German, English and French.

Choose your favorite language, then copy and paste the new files SuccessfulActivation.wav and FailedActivation.wav in the folder:
Horse and Musket Volume 1 / SupportFiles / BattleFiles / Default / Audio

Don't forget to save the original files first!

Theme 1,2 and 3 are ok but boringin long play. They are less annoying than the old one but I miss for music of the field, cow, birds, etc. You know the simply sounds of nature.
THis command are very good, maybe they can be less agresive?
Changes....

MODS - Sounds - Battlesounds

The existing muskets-fusillade-sounds are a little bit "anaemic"

It is the typical sound of reenactment powder weapons without bullets...something like [phon.}: ffaabffff....

I like a more realistic sound!

MODS - Sounds - background-Noise

but I miss for music of the field, cow, birds, etc. You know the simply sounds of nature.

Ok, I like the idea.... so lets try a new nature sound instead of the backgroundmusic during the battle. [:D]

Try it out...it could be another new battlefield atmosphere to hear only the wind and some birds.
Sorry, the cows are plundered by the troops ....

Copy and paste the new files Theme1.mp3, Theme2.mp3 and Theme3.mp3 in the folder:
Horse and Musket Volume 1 / SupportFiles / BattleFiles / Default / Audio

EDIT: some good music for this game is on the album 'Military Music From the Age of Reason' by the Middlesex County Volunteer Fifes and Drums. You can get this album or MP3 files from Amazon. Sounds great ingame.

Hi there,

Many thanks for the audio files - I have installed the German voice commands (Seeeeehr Gut!).

I also wanted to say that it's possible to have lots of music in this game. If you add lots of mp3 files to the audio folder, the game will play them all if you call them Theme1_a, Theme2_a, Theme3_a; Theme1_b, Theme_2_b, Theme3_b; Theme1_c, Theme2_c, Theme3_c; etc., etc.

I went to the Amazon mp3 shop and bought some CPE Bach, some Haydn, and some eighteenth-century drum/fife music (German/French/English - played by British Guards Division) and added the tracks to the other music posted in this thread. Sounds great.

MODS - Sounds - Musket Salvo

Three files that make the 'rifle shots' sound more like large unit's volley fire.

Installation: Put these here: Horse and Musket Volume I / SupportFiles / BattleFiles / Default / Audio

Make a backup of the original files first!
