Ship withdrawal bug

Post by GMeyer »

I am using the latest patch with XP. I moved an overdue ship off map. I then pushed the withdraw button and was told the withdrawal was successful. However, when I pushed the exit button, the program crashed and told me that WiTP executable needed to close and invited a report to Microsoft. This happened twice, I did not try a third time. Thanks, but there seems to be a bug here.

I have the same situation. QE is off the map but not in port. She has a red withdrawal button so I pushed it. Got the withdraw successfully message. TF screen now empty. When I exit the TF screen, the game crashes.

The ZIP file is actually a PWS file with extension renamed.

The option to withdraw is valid for off-map.

But it does not check to see if ship is in a BASE off-map. Which the withdraw is most likely expecting.

I have added that extra check for the 'next build'.

Mike,
For me the ship withdrawal bug resolved: I just waited a few days and tried it again.  It worked, no crashes.  But I am getting another (very minor) bug.  At the end of every day, someone named R.N. Bateman is "reassigned," from where and to where is not specified.

In addition, and this may not be a bug, I am showing 10+ air squadrons in red because of over due withdrawal, but when I bring the squadrons screen, the withdrawal button is greyed out.

Post a save.
IIRC, Bateman seems to be fairly common guy for getting re-assigned continually.[&:]

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the response.  I'd be happy to post a save (Bateman is still around), but I don't know how.  Please advise.  Thanks
