...as it was previously stated, then be aware that there are only 27 days left in the quarter.

Here's hoping the game doesn't slip back any further than it already has.

Having seen zip about game release posted, I gave up on PCO and bought a copy of HPS Simulations' Red Victory.

Red Victory is a great game. I own a copy and intend to purchase PCO when it is released. I will also purchase Combat Mission Normandy when it is released and Conflict of Heroes PC version when that is released. Can't have too many tactical games!

I hear ya, it's quite frustrating. Be careful, asking about the release date seems to piss people off here...

I commend you on your choice in Red Victory. Check out the "IronX" mod. It's a graphics overhaul and sound mod - absolutely amazing! If this is your first time to hear about this mod, then you are in for a real treat!

Well, you spend your gaming money as best you see fit. Just like the rest of us. I hope you'll be happy with Red Victory.

Buy "Battlefield Academy" and the "France add-on" and kick back and kick butt  till the release

I dunno if the game is slipping back, so much as the 'velopers keep adding content and features. I paid for the first two games, so I can't work up a decent snit over any delay that has, or might, emerge. I'm paid up, and it's all gravy for me.

I know folks are frustrated waiting for this ro be released. And it probably doesnt help to say that the dev team wants this wrapped up and released as soon as possible as well. We're going through now, trying to tie up some loose ends, but needless to say there are ocassional surprises that come our way.

thanks

I have this weird feeling that the graphics of the units are much worse then Tiller's Campaign series Matrix is selling, or am I wrong here?
I love(-d) the campaign series, I have bought every game sofar, but never touched Tiller's HPS games. So are they... better? Improved?

Hi everyone,

We are done adding features. We are in final testing, finishing up the manual, still adding grass to a few maps and testing for balance and any other bugs that may have slipped by us before now. As soon as we're satisfied that everything is squared away, we will release. We were certainly aiming for Q4 and then Q1, but I think the additional features were worth the additional delay. We will not rush it out at this point, we'll make sure it's fully tested and ready, so Q1 probably will not happen but I would not be surprised if we make an April release.

Regards,

- Erik

Josh, could you be confusing "Panzer Command" with "Panzer Campaigns?"

If so, you may have inadvertently posted to the wrong forum.[:)]

April,....? Well I guess that I have enough time to squeeze in another small CM email game before this gets here. All in all, great news. Thanks for the official update. Now what to do for another month while I am waiting,... talk to the wife?.... did that last week, ... hhmmm, will have to come up with something.

No no no, sorry for the confusion, I was referring to a post from Steely Glint, he got tired of waiting for the release of PCO so he bought an HPS game by John Tiller. Sort of thread hijack, sorry for that. I always enjoyed Tillers games, but am curious as to how his new ones play and look like (no AAR's that I'm aware of).

Anyways, thanks for the update Erik. A few more weeks sure ain't gonna hurt.

I am very confident that PzC Ostfront will be superior to Red Victory.

You are of course entitled to your opinion. I agree that PzC-Ost will be a superior 3-D representation of a tactical environment while Red Victory will be the superior 2-D representation of a tactical board game.
There's room in the hobby to enjoy both and I feel strongly about supporting each of them.

Red Victory is an excellent game. The add-on summer and winter graphics and sound packs by IronX make it look really good too. I'm really glad I bought it. Lots of scenarios lots of fun. Recommended.
