WE NEED HELP

When trying to PBEM game crash's we have new update (105b ) when will this be fixed ? I like the game but did buy it so I could PBEM.

Was the game started as 1.05b?

Go to saved game and check the info file

D:\Storm over the Pacific Release1_03\data\pbem\name of saved game

Double click and scroll down to game version. Make sure it says 1.05b

Usually you can not update to a patch and use a saved game especially in PBEM.

Could you please tell me step after step what were the actions before the game crashes?

Hi!

I had started the pbem game. We chose the Guad "A" scenario. I took the US and Joe the Japanese. I began the game and sent the file to Joe who made his moves and sent the file back. I was able to begin my turn with no trouble, but midway through my turn, while I was landing units the game froze and crashed. I began over again several times and I was only able to finish my landings once. For that time the game froze and crashed when I clicked on save.

I tried re-installing and repatching but that didn't help.

File sent late last night. I hope you find that it was only something stupid that I was doing wrong - which is entirely possible!

Games works fine on two of my three computers (didn't check on the third yet), however I forwarded it to the programmers to take a look at that.
Will be back to you as soon as we will find (or not) what causes the problem.

We tried to restart the game with me as US and when I got halfway through my move game froze and then crashed .Gene started the game sent to me I started to land my men and like I said halfway through landings game froze.Now it has done same thing on both ends of PBEM when landing troops.Japanese turn works fine on both ends, game crashes when moving / landing US troops.

We started Tarawa and Gene sent me the turn I started to land troops and game crashed to desktop I retried and landed 3 unites before game crashed .I tried 3 times and same thing game crashed when I started landing my troops. Runtime error abnormal program termination.

We reinstalled game to 1.03 and it crashed to desktop right away so as game stands we are at 1.05b and game still crashes to desktop when playing PBEM game works great playing alone vs AI so trouble is with PBEM.

shut off the DIVX or delete it from the game or rename it, The company that sells it keeps sending me patch's and updates and tells me it is a great media program, and the game is not even installed anymore Sounds like a deal between wasteland and whoever is responsible for that piece of crap.

madgamer, we have nothing to do with any media company.
AFAIK the divX is even not included into the installer, and I know that the codecs has been always an issue for customers. It looks like any movies should be added without any compression, but then it will make them just huge.

Also I think tha you should be able to switch off any pop ups from the program in its preferences. This is how it's usually works.
