Desert warfare?

Fans of the old Panzer General series rejoice for the release of Panzer Corps. Following in the footsteps of the popular SSI masterpiece and sharing with the General series the same level of engagement and strategic depth, Panzer Corps will keep an unmistakable "PG feeling" whilst improving and refining the gameplay and balance. Panzer Corps will feature 26 scenarios on 21 unique maps, covering most major battles of the European Theatre of World War II and including a few hypothetical 'what if' scenarios based on your actions. Now expanded with a full-war mega-campaign and the Afrika Corps and Allied Corps releases!

Afrika, DAK and Rommel deserve and will get some extra love and attention the coming months and we plan to add some extra nice content and a few other surprises. PzC Wehrmacht is just the beginning of a series, we have plans... :-)

That is fantastic news. Can't wait.

Will this be like BA with expansions to the core game or are we talking about brand new stand alone games?

This sounds very exciting....one of my favorite parts of PG2 was being able to get different units....italian, finish, rumanian and keeping them alive through the scenarios...quite difficult when you see the kind of 'quality' equipment they all had.

Hopefully we will eventually go to the Pacific, without all the problems that plagued "Pacific General".

For the North Africa game, I would like to see campaigns for both the Germans and the Allies, not just scenarios that can be played by each side.

Perhaps I am wrong in this thinking, but I tend to see the AI work better when it concentrates only on one side as playable for the gamer...I wonder for example if the AI in BA would have been compromised if both sides were programmed?

Someone played Allied General I guess. [:)] I loved too the allied grand campaign from Sidi Barrani to Berlin.
However I wouldn't mind a Russian grand campaign from Finland to Berlin and as bonus if fast enough Tokyo :)
