Laggy controls

Post by samspackman »

So I got this on the sale, but the lag in the game is quite bad. It takes anywhere up to a couple of seconds to register a mouse click for some tasks (e.g creating task forces). WITPAE is smooth as butter for the same tasks. Is there some kind of optimisation fix for this? Or is this just an artifact of the old engine?

I have to say this is a new one on me, never had any problems with lag on controls in game, I assume all your drivers are up to date, as these often cause problems with some games, also it has been known for some anti-virus software causing conflicts, failing that I'm sure someone from Matrix will offer assistance.[;)]

I've played at least 1 turn a day nearly every day for several years now on 3 different laptops, generally it runs fine. The only time I've ever had any problems was when I had other programs running in the background.
