Resolution issue

Hello,

I recently purchased Wacht am Rhein and Cross of Iron.
I have found that the resolution for Wacht am Rhine doesn't seen to be changing, as there is no indication or game restart prompt, and still seems to be at a lower resolution.
Cross of Iron prompted me to reload the game for it to change and is definitely at my monitors res (1920x1080)
I'm using Windows 7 64-bit

You'll need to restart WAR to change the resolution just like COI.

Note: the resolution change does not affect the out of battle screens

Ive worked out that it is certain maps that are causing the resoloution to change.
Maps such as South Eifel, Assensois, and Champion are causing a blank screen and then my monitor pops up with the 'Suggested Monitor Resoloution 1920x1080'
I loaded a few others and the resoloution was perfect and no monitor pop up. Rather odd

Its makes playing some maps difficult because it appears to be stretched and pixeled.

I seem to have worked it out.

Certain maps were not scaling properly since they are smaller, so it was changing the resolution and zooming in to the same scale that other maps were fitting on the screen.
I switched to windowed mode which has fixed the issue and they are scaling properly, fitting mostly to the screen. I usually can only move on one axis since it fits snugly.
It remains mostly in full screen with the exception of the bottom task bar.

Setting both my Monitor and the Game Resolution option to be the same helped me.
Mine is 1600X1200 on a 24" Monitor.
If I try to go higher I get the zoomed in view despite the game saying it can support 1920X1200

I run at 1920x1200 on a 24" monitor and using a nvidia card and on maps smaller than my resolution I get black bars. Do you have scaling on either the monitor or video card turned on?

I had scaling turned on in the Nvidia control panel, set to monitor.
I changed it to GPU and it gave me black bars in full screen but it was still stretched. I could still move on both Axis, in windowed mode I can only move on one axis, so it seems to be still scaling it a bit.
