DCG Campaign Error / Crash

Started playing around with Polish Tragedy campaign at armored regiment level.

After a few missions promoted and offered Brigade command.

Tried to resume campaign with new command and got this;



Followed by this



Then this..



And finally this.



Hitting OK again takes me back to main campaign screen.

No biggie for me, I'm a PBEM kinda guy just messing around with stuff but thought Jason, Berto, and all should know. Seems promotion and expanded command triggered this.

Oh yeah, 2.02 CLEAN INSTALL.

Not exactly a "crash". Rather, a fully intercepted, and reported, error condition -- in the data.

We know that not all nation/level/date combos are supported by the current data files. We do plan to release a 2.10 "mega update" c. 2016. That will fill in many, but not all, of the data gaps. You can imagine that, unless we go totally random and just make stuff up, if we try to adhere to actual historical OOBs, there will be player selections that won't be supported.

(Note: Before 2.01, at the brigade level for example, if the code didn't find brigade-to-brigade matchups, it might attempt to match brigade-to-division, or brigade-to-battalion. So pre 2.01, the game was more forgiving, at the cost of creating lopsided contests. We have "fixed" that. At the cost of the occasional "crash" as you have experienced.)

It looks like you were playing as the Germans correct? A work around for this is going into the Polish OOB's copying the correct size formation and give it a Armored ob mumber. IE, R072002 change it to R070002 and put it into the Polish Campaign OOB. Now the comp has a Polish regiment sized (false) Armored force to choose.

This will also work for Brigade and Division sized forces.
