Experience the brutal campaign from both sides as you play across 4 campaigns – as partisan, Tiger, T-34 and dozens of other accurately modeled units. See how the harsh weather of the steppes changed the course of the war.

And after following the fortunes of the two sides you can then experience limitless battles with the brand new random skirmish feature. Customise your mission with the myriad settings before entering a unique and surprising battle every time.

Add in the best-in-class Slitherine PBEM++ multiplayer system, redesigned editor, custom scripting, and Cooperative multiplayer to create a new strategy masterpiece.

Two Questions on Kursk Add on

Post by AZKGungHo »

Just got the new add on and have two questions.

1) I can't play the later scenarios without first completing and winning the earlier ones. Is there any way to fix or work around this? I bought the game shouldn't I be able to play the scenarios in any order I want too?

2) It appears to me that you can only play Prokhorovka as the Russians. Really? Any way to play it from the German side? Any add on coming soon that will have that? I'd really like to play it from both sides and enjoy the challenges each side faces.

I haven't bought it yet. But you should be able to copy the campaigns into \mydocuments\mygames\BA2\ and open in the editor, rename and play them that way.

Been awhile for me, so maybe Pip could go into specifics if needed.

Sorry - I forgot these are carryover campaigns that may complicate matters a bit.

Hi AZ Gung Ho and thanks for your purchase :)

1) as rosseau mentions, these new campaigns use a carryover system, which means that you keep some of your units from one scenario to another. As a result it's necessary to complete mission #1 to unlock mission #2 as the units available in mission #2 will depend on your performances in mission #1. Hope it's clear.

2) There is one German and one Soviet campaign in the expansion. And both campaigns tackle different parts of the Kursk operation in order to provide diversity... [:(]

I guess we could crib the info from the Russian Prokhorovka scenario and create a German pseudo Prokhorovka scenario using the skirmish generator...

Thanks for the responses. I've played the first scenario on the Russian side twice - won both times but it was fun and tough. Finally got my screen recorder to work with the game so I hope to record something for YouTube tomorrow and share the love with everyone!!

I started that one. It was nice to be on the defensive for a change.

Does anyone know how to make a unit in the editor a "carry-over" unit?

I've played the first two scenarios on the Russian campaign so far and won both and had a lot of fun doing so. Good work everyone!
