Did you ever have that day when.....

Post by aaatoysandmore »

Your wife or girlfriend threatened to throw your computer over the balcony or out the window 3 stories high or more?

What's your most memorable moment with your wife or girlfriend over your computer and hobby?

Well that's a bit of a personal question [:-]

But as you asked, there's been some strange places I admit, but I have never taken her over the computer.

When we were first married, my wife had a plant hung from the ceiling, and she watered it too much which meant water dripped down into the computer. But a blow dryer and letting it air out, it (C64) worked fine afterward.

Broken electronics just means it's time to upgrade!

My wife has not done so, though she might have thought it a couple times.

On the other hand, back in junior high my dad did in fact literally throw my Gameboy out into a blizzard (it still works). And I think unplugged the computer a few times. He was prone to the occasional burst of anger back then but would probably be embarrassed if I brought it up now.

My wife threw out my PS3 controller, opened the window and launched it out in the middle of the snowbank and sent me to bed once...........Yep after dying or failing 35 times in a row and I must say swearing very loudly at 3:00 AM trying to beat this one boss in FFXIII. Yep she grabbed it out of my hands and and threw it out the window.....she said "you want to wake the entire house up, then go freeze your behind and recuperate your "gadget" and see how much you like it! Now go to bed!!! and oh yea she unplugged my ps3 right out of the wall!!!

The moral of the story here: when I renovated my entire house a couple of years after that incident I had a home office built with sound proof walls, ceilings, shelves for PlayStation, XBox Wii U and computers positioned in a way they can't be unplugged easily and a very heavy door. And of course, insurance on all my controllers.

Well my most memorable moment was when I remarried. During our honeymoon my wife pulled out her laptop to play TotH. I had an orgasm. Now we have our computers set up in one room and we play games 24/7.
