Egyptian "Infiltrator" Trucks Big bug Jason?
Having a bit of time I loaded up Operation Musketeer Revised vs. Egyptian AI. Imagine my surprise as I watched Egyptian Medium Trucks(?) move THROUGH British and French units several times and even in a few instances end the turn peacefully co-existing in the same hex with British Paras. Pictures below, offending trucks circled, paths taken marked with arrows. So what's up with that. I guess we know where Skorzeny went after the war.

I presume the trucks were empty?
If so, this isn't a bug. This is as intended.

As intended? Opposing trucks can drive through the lines? Where's that in the manual and what's the intention?
And just for kicks I loaded the scenario reversing the sides and I couldn't drive those Egyptian trucks through British para's.... but the AI can?
Now I'm really confused..... [&:][&:][&:][&:]

You won't be able to directly click on a hex that contains opposing forces, that would act as an assault, that wouldn't work.
You may be able to pass through, depending on the adaptive ai setting.

Hmm, of course, now it isn't doing it.
Figures.
It was doing that in previous versions

No I'm not, still on 1.01. But..... I don't understand the intent of hostile empty trucks driving through my units, mucking up my movement and generally being a nuisance? Is this a function of the AI?

Friendlies and hostiles can, at a chance, end up in the same hex. It is all intentional. Op fire should have prevented some of those hostiles moving towards you though. Then again, if those hostiles moving towards you, or even into the same hex, are civilians, and you op fire at them, you're in trouble due to negative VP points.

Not to assert the code is absolutely bug-free. The new helo code must of course permit enemies to occupy the same hex. But yes, for ground forces, to some extent what you describe is WAD. In the various wars, you will read many accounts of forces passing amongst and through their (surprised) foes, without in some cases drawing opfire. The chaos and fog of fast-paced real-time warfare and all that.

You don't happen to have a save file of the said moves, 48th? I am not sure should that happen in large numbers as you just observed. I will check the Trucks platoon data as well, to ensure the unit flags are as they should be. I've not seen this before, so not sure what went on there...

Egyptian engineers trucks quietly parked himself between my tanks ... Previously, several times passing through my positions without reaction on the Israeli side. I assume that this is probably a bug? [;)]

Thanks for reporting this! I have now seen hostile trucks do it once as well, on a vs-AI scenario. Sneaky little things!
Something to look for to be fixed in 1.03, this one.

Hi,
are those sneaky trucks still intentional in the latest version of the game?
