Korean war-1950-53

Post by lion_of_judah »

I'm using the map from the Sino-Korean war and using it for the new scenario called " Korean war 1950-53" In this first screenshot, you see North Korean forces on the eve of war and the South Korean dispositions. South Korean forces are regiment to begin with and as the war goes on will have Divisions come as reinforcements. There are three regimes, North korea, Communist China and South Korea.

The US will be apart of the South Koreans and will enter the war the turn after the North's invasion. Each hex is 50km and each turn for now is 21 days, though that will probably increase to 30.

Wow, this looks great. I hope it has an AI at some point. Thanks for your hard work in designing this , and previous scenarios.

this scenario is next on my to do list once the Iran-Iraq war is finished. I haven't decided if I want to rework the entire troop and historical libraries and make corps, division and brigade level or just keep it as is now with just division, brigade and Battalions. Any input would be appreciated

Just wondering why you think this change might be necessary?

Alan
as it stands now, with the current unit mix, there are just too many units on the map so I've been throwing around the idea of making corps level units along with Brigade and Division. The map scale is actually 50km per hex so Corps level units wouldn't be unheard of, but I'm stuck and don't know which is best.
