Disbanding depots

Post by cato12 »

I understand the need to disband depots before the advancing allies but i'm not sure when exactly to do it.

If I disband a depot and move out my units in the same turn are the trucks and supplies saved when the hex is captured or do I need to move out the following turn after disbanding the depot to allow the trucks and supplies to be saved?

IIRC, you need some time. I seem to recall that in the logistics phase, the freight in a depot will be shipped elsewhere, and the vehicles will be sent back to the pool. I don't remember if it takes a few turns to do this, or if it all happens in the first logistics phase after disbanding the depot. In any case, you need to do it at least 1 full turn before the depot is captured.
All understanding comes after the fact.
