How to fire long range?

How to fire long range?

A while back it was mentioned that one can fire long range, but a half normal damage. How do you do the long range fire?

Its auto done for you... just select an enemy that is at range longer then normal and it will half the fire power for you. If you try and fire at longer then "long range" the game will give you a warning and won't let you. I.E. if a unit has range of 4 hexes, then from range 5-8 will be long range.
