Hot Patch - 4.666.01337

Post by Dabrion »

Hi ..

thanks for reading this! We, Matrix Games, Snake Games and Dabrion, want to let you know that unfortunately, we have to leave all your calls for a better MWiF unanswered... since a decade!

We chose this convenient time of Christmas because we think you will be most distracted. Yust like we sold the "FINAL" edition around that time. No marketing thoughts went into that decision, *chuckle twice"!

Buy this game for 20(currency)? NO! The ratio of bug per (currency) would be totally unfair! A bug should be sold at 1(currency) at the very least!!!! Think of the industry, stupid!

So please spend you money to StevePensionFund@paypal.hi instad!

I guess that everything from Microsoft, Apple, Google, and most other brands should all be pennies.

Thanks for leaving an email address for Paypal.

Maybe everyone who disagrees should send you a Paypal invoice.

May I point out that this is the most banal diversion every?

Hi ..

thanks for reading my totally unfunny, incoherent rubbish! I Dabrion, an adult, am going to act like a petulant 10-year old..yet again. Why? Because I couldn't get what I wanted and its not fair. It's not, it's not, it's not.

I choose now - but frankly it could be anytime - as I keep coming back like a bad smell from time to time to bore the MWIF community with my inane drivel in which I tell the world about Matrix, MWIF and, in particular Steve [stamps feet while typing]. I am going to try and make it funny - although being the dullard I am I'm not going to be able to conjure anything in the slightest bit witty or interesting.

I hope by doing this I'll get some other people to pipe up (I can normally count on one or two regulars) in an attack on the evil triumvirate and any posters who try and support them.

BANZAI!

Yours,
the child in the man's body.

TrogusP96 Dabrion is a perfect example of why you shouldn't post when you just come back from the pub totally off your face because you've just had half a pint of lager shandy....

By the way, how's the court action against Matrix coming on Dabrion? I'd love to hear the latest instalment as it was some years ago you said you were going to start this. What stage is your solicitor buddy at with the trial of the century?

But we get it okay? You spent money on a computer war game and it wasn't what you thought it was going to be. That is unfortunate and, as a lover of WIF, I'm as disappointed as you are (and I'd like to know how many forumites have never been in that situation - it won't be many, what makes you so special?). But there are reasons for the situation which have been gone over ad infinitum. It is what it is. You spent your money, what? 6-7 years ago? you got burned, you are disappointed. So that's life, man up and move on.

In all fairness, MWIF itself isn't what it thought it was going to be...

Judging from the recent flurry of Dabrion posts he is entitled to a refund for the ESL lessons. Oh well, one lawsuit at a time I guess.

The game has costed a lot more time (and effort) than it was thought to be, and still is not 100%, in that he is right. We are all dissapointed in this matter.

As for his trolling (through flooding) I think it's not a good way to help, just ranting about. And I would second Juntoalmar's advice: Get some help.

From memory he threatened to sue me for some reason. Strangely that hasn't happened yet. Empty legal threats are a clown move.

Thanks for the update. I have played many (solitary) hours of WiF and MWiF. What fun except for struggling with the MWiF convoy system. I just decided to add extra resources.

I was not initially aware that only one person was the main programmer. I think he even created and narrated the tutorials I think. MWiF is only playable for me because I haven't had the room for table since 2003. I don't know anything about programmer. It seems compromises have to be made. For instance I recently read about a loop that locks the game trying to find a supply route that complies with the original rule. Thus for instance, I would be more inclined to modify the rules to ease the programming, but maybe this would upset a different set of gamers. The judgment calls keep coming.

I hope the game keeps improving and the optional rules get added.

What can interested gamers do to help?

I don't know if it helps any but for me (personally), I continue to play the game, post bug reports as applicable, remain civil and avoid recriminations.
