[Duplicate] Sudden crash while managing strike route parameters

Post by SkyhawkSG1 »

I sent a planned strike from a carrier and just after takeoff, when my airplaanes were about to reach waypoint 3 I paused and wanted to set altitudes for waypoints.
I clicked waypoint 3 and set 12000 feet.
At this moment the sim crashed and Steam was showing that it is still "running".
Even the music was playing.

Unfortunately I have no save to show.
Would you like any more details?

EDIT:
Added exception Log file.

CMO is still running and I can't make it stop (without Ctrl+Alt+Del)

a report may show something, but a save makes it repeatable if it's a new bug or something that can be reproduced, then easier to fix etc

How to get a DirectX Diagnostic file:

1. click on "START"
2. click "run"
3. type in "dxdiag" and click "OK"
4. check through the tabs and perform all tests
5. click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice

We prefer that DxDiag files be posted as message attachments rather than pasted into the body of the post.

once the report has been made, just attach it to your post as it's a Txt file which is then permitted to attach to the forum.

In the folder <Steam install folder>\steamapps\common\Command - Modern Operations\Logs, there should be a file 'ExceptionLog.txt'. Attach that to the post. If Command had an error, it may have been reported in it.

Well, now I simply cliked on the strike flight, chose the altitude of 12,000 feet and it crashed again.
I did that using the side panel.

Adding the exception log again.

Nothing that unusual in the log.

If you have auto save on, then probably the last save before the crash would be useful. If the devs can load the save, and perform a specific set of steps you did, then it may be helpful to trace what occurred as this is not happening all the time.

I went further with the scenario without touching the side panel as to flight parameters and nothing out of the ordinary happened.
I might try when I launch CMO again.

I believe the same issue has been reported (and logged) already:
