New version Operation Texas Crow, 2020 -- please review

Post by Mgellis »

ronmexico111 posted a comment about this scenario. I have been inspired to create an updated version of it. Not too many changes, but there is now a 40-man SEAL task unit available; SEALs can be delivered as land detachments by boat or by helicopter, as you wish.

I would be grateful for feedback before I submit the revised version to the Community Scenario Pack.

Thanks!

I've run through this scenario a few times but the SEALs do not seem to be present.

I've always liked Texas Crow. Will give it a try tonight or tomorrow Mark.

They are on the ships as cargo. To load them, select the SAG, select Boats from the side panel, then click load/unload cargo from the bottom of the panel. You can load cargo onto some aircraft, but in this case use boats.

To drop them off, click on the unit orders pull down, then select unload cargo from the bottom of the menu.

Still a great scenario. I don't remember the previous version having SA-15 Gauntlets but its been awhile since I played it. Ended spending all the Boise tomahawks against the command and communications targets because of them.

Did notice a couple of things.
1) The Omaha is labeled as a Block II LCS, and you mention possible mods for in the description, but it looks to be have same armament as the standard LCS.

2) Is the Zephyr meant to be a guaranteed loss at the start? Maybe add a few SM-2MR Blk IIIBs. They would still be slightly out of range (about 10nm) to defend the Zephyr but if the player turned and ran right at the start then maybe there would be a chance to save it.

Went into the editor, none of the civilian aircraft on the ferry mission have a loadout.

Also, I had to go back and tweak some of the land units...forgot how the new terrain system can cause vehicles to get stuck. [:)] I think I got that fixed now.
