I played this one along time ago, completely different to your deployment...
If I remembered correctly my 105mm SP Abbots did no damage at all, not a sausage, perhaps suppression fire was the best I could get from those bastards..

The mortar teams were totally useless. If they were even slowing the enemy down, it was imperceptible.
