Shift & Alt buttons

How come the Shift & Alt buttons on the top toolbar have gone? They were very handy buttons.[:(]

There was a poll about that few weeks ago. Nobody were using them...

Look in options under there is a toggle to turn them on. There is now also an ALT hold.
