Units' nomenclature

I don't understand (and I don't appreciate) why in WitE 1 and 2 the developers use the correct soviet and german nomenclature for aviation units at any level (soviet IAD, BAD, etc, german JG, StG, KG etc) and not for land units, starting from the use of anglo-saxons ordinal numbers (IMHO, terrible if associated to soviet/german units) as for the terms and abbreviations itself. For ex. german 1st Infantry Division is 1.Infanterie-Division (or 1.ID), soviet 1st Rifle Division is 1 SD, 1st Guard Rifle Division is 1 GvSD, etc.

It's easy to find, in the web, the correct nomenclature for every type of units. IMHO, in a so in-depth historical simulation, the correct use of historical nomenclature could be the icing on the cake too ...
