A Very Special Moment for Me

Post by Wild Bill »

I received this as an e-mail today.

Wild Bill,

After a rather long time thinking about it, designing it, then testing it, we; Don Llewellyn, Fabio Prado, and Rick Cloutier are proud to present you the scenario that was developed as a very special tribute to you as the greatest warrior of us all, a special friend of every wargamer all over the world and a true gentleman.

Please accept this "Task Force Wilder*" scenario as a symbol of our recognition of our only true MASTER!

The Team:
Concept and Design: Fabio Prado
Map and Design: Don Llewellyn
Playtesting: Rick Cloutier
-------------
To say I'm stunned by such a tribute is a big understatement, gentlemen! I'm overwhelmed. This carries a very special significance to me.

I have it loaded and ready to play. Impressive map and overall design. All three of you are top notch gamers and to have used your talents in this way to honor me is humbling indeed.

You Three Musketeers have given me something I will always treasure. Thank you very much.

Fabio and Rick, would you post it on your site? I have already posted it into the Game Depot today.

Wow! Congrats Wild Bill. You certainly deserve it!

Can't wait to get home from work to give this one a shot. Thanks, guys!

Well, I see!

Um, hum! This scenario is indeed a Image Wild one. No spoilers but I've played it twice and gotten only a high draw...and was glad!

This is a typical "Wild Bill" Free for All, certainly! It is "challenging" Image to say the least!

Thanks, guys!

WB, I am so happy that you like it, AND that you find it tough! When Tankhead sent it back and said "It's too easy", Fabio and I determined that no one (or almost no one) would have that problem again. Image

Just remember, when you are pounding on your desk, yelling swear words and making the cat run away, that is excatly what happens when I play YOUR stuff! Image

I was truly happy and honored that Fabio asked me to help out on this, and I hope all of our fellow gamers will also like it and agree that it is a fitting tribute to our mentor.

WB, this is a well deserved honour or your behalf, for it is individuals like yourself that make this hobby what it is.

Hi Wild Bill!

I'm glad you like it Image Like Don said when I send it back I new Fabio and Don would fix it right and they sure did. Image Got my attention.
I wont tell you how to come out with a win but it's possible, it took me a few go at it before I got the win. Image I hope it give you joy and keep you on the edge of your seat. I hope it gives you the feeling we have when we play your battles. Image

WB,

I am really happy you liked it. We tried our best to give it a "Wild Bill feeling", full of surprises and with red-hot action from start to end.

It was just our way of expressing our recognition of the tremendous job you've doing, and that it comes from your heart to our hearts...

"Task Force Wilder" has now been posted on Fabio's great site, and soon will be on Tankhead's.

It's doing very well at the Depot, and we'd like to hear what you guys think of it.

Thanks Huffy,

Glad you liked it!

One of the things I really liked about it was it's replay-ability. I think you'll find it can play completely differently, depending on how successfull you are knocking out the German tanks. I also think you will find it winnable after playing it a few times!
