Starting A New Game

Post by Maple Leaf »

Now that the A.I. is more robust, I Will be starting a new PBEM game using v1.23.08 with only 4 players - France, GB, Russia, Spain or Austria and letting the A.I. handle the other countries. Should be a good fast paced game. Let me know if you'd like to play.

Hi, I am interested. But have only limited experience with EIA. Also interested in experimenting with third party battles.

Just got the game. The interface seems really clunky but i have some time at my hands to learn it this summer. Is anyone still playing this? Is it a productive platform to play the game.. vs vassal frex?

Welcome. I know Maple Leaf is taking a break from PBEM games but at least one other group has a game going. This PC game version at least handles rules implementations, combat resolutions, and other bookkeeping that Vassal does not, plus there are computer opponents available. The interface is what it is, having been designed about 20 years ago now. It may not win any prizes today, but it functions. I assume you may have already looked at the suggestions for new players https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... 0&t=374117, but I do recommend playing some against the computer opponents to learn the game. Enjoy!
