Noob question

Post by cyberwop36 »

Hi,just bought the game, really enjoying it so far, except..

Could someone please tell me how to move my units in the set up phase lol. For the life of me i can't figure it out. Kinda embarrassing, can't find it in manual. Isn't in the mentioned in the tutorial i think. About sure im missing it in big bold letters 😁, so please be kind.

1st expression. Im a former 19D Cavscout. I decided to wing a mission for fun. I was so pumped so see 1st small mission was an area recon. Something i was trained for. The briefing was familiar. Avoid contact, in an out under 40min. Trained.

So i was kinda disappointed to see that it's just another firefight. So far all the troops seem pretty trigger happy and suicidal lol. They spray fire at every contact. But I see i can manually enforce fire discipline. Getting them not to expose themselves (😈) to direct fire and react to fire. The attention to detail and the design of this game is incredible tho.

Like i said, im sure most of this is me learning the interface. Im enjoying the learning curve. A lot of micro management, telling guys to bring more than 2 missile rounds up to the tower ect. But i enjoyed yelling at pvts lol.

Thanks for any help, and mercy i my noobness✌

To move units around during setup just select the unit to move, click on the move command and move it to where you want it positioned. You can also load up your troopers up by selecting them, click the move command and move the cursor over the vehicle you'd like them loaded on. To unload select the unit and click move and then place them where you'd like them.

Also, vehicles often carry additional ammo. So you can load a desired unit onto the vehicle and set them up using the acquire command, the pixel-truppen love firing off their 40mm HEDP grenades and javelins! :D Be careful though, too much of a load slows them down.

The target command is useful to study and learn how to use sounds like you're already looking at it. Don't want your FO or JTAC team getting whacked because they got trigger happy, fired and exposed themselves -- lesson learned.

Have fun!
