Airfield with asterisk?

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

Airfield with asterisk?

Post by Klahn »

Sorry, couldn't find this in the manuals or the forum. I'm playing Eagle Day 1940 campaign as Allies. Some of my airfields have an asterisk next to the name. At first I thought it meant an airfield outside of Fighter Command. But Eastchurch has one, and it's attached to Hornchurch, which is part of Fighter Command. So does Detling, which is attached to Biggin Hill.

Can anyone shed some light?

Those are Bomber Command and Coastal Command airfields; you don't get AS points for damaging them.

As the RAF, is there any drawback to stationing my fighters at Bomber Command fields so the Luftwaffe doesn't hit them?

No drawbacks, and that's a good way to fool the LW until they fly recon over you and spot your planes.
