Kentucky

Post by kevini1000 »

I got Kentucky as the Confederates.

not sure if this was bad idea as I spent 500 mp's on diplomacy chits.

I don't it had anything to do with that as the Union did the emancipation early (June of 1961) I think not sure.

Kentucky shifted 36 toward the confederate and they were at 6% union.

I moved some units in but looks like it will be hard to hold. I'm not certain that spending the points was worth it.

England and Spain are both sitting at 0% with France at 10%.

Is there any way to see what option the Union picked?

Does it sound like something buggy happened?

Not really. It's the same for the Union when Kentucky comes in on their side. The Rebs immediately start gobbling it up from the south to defend Nashville as far forward as possible. It's like yeah, you got it, it's nominally yours, but it's empty, defenseless and up for grabs.

Is it true that the Union did emancipation that early with my unit within 4 hexes of Washington?

I believe if the Union chooses to have General Garibaldi come in and fight for their cause, they have to declare an immediate Emancipation Proclamation to recruit him, regardless of where Confederate units are. That's how Kentucky went overnight for the South in one of my games.

Ok this is what they must have done. That's why the English and Spanish ratings dropped so fast.
