Mod looks nice in your picture ... but I put the mod in my Community file for mods and it does not appear. Any suggestions?
Thanks ...

I really wish I could help but I don't know why there is a problem with the Nato graphics showing up in game, all I know is it works as it should with most peoples system, I have tried testing on my end with my PC and everything works as it should, I know this answer does not help you but the honest answer is I have not got a clue why.

I will see if I can get an answer from the powers that be, hopefully then we will be able to resolve any issues.

Hi

Can you try placing the mod in this folder:

C:\Users\[USER NAME]\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command - American Civil War\Mods

Hopefully if you place it there the Mod will show up ok, and if you can confirm that would be great.

Hi Bill,
This is a strange one for my system.
I have put this mod in the community pack/mod file as instructed in his other thread.
I get Kirk's Counter Mod as an option in the ingame. I click X and it's enabled. Yet I don't see the counters change over from vanilla NATO too Kirk23 NATO.

Well, Unfortunate Son placed his in the Mod file same path that you suggested, and it works for him there but not in the community pack/mod.

Well...so I tried that by placing Kirk's counter Mod in Mods..same path you suggested.....and get reaccuring errors every time I click on something. I have to ESC to get out of the game!

As you know, I test and use mods all the time...but this one is weird. I have tried multiple ways to get things to work and can't with this mod. I was the one that asked Kirk23 if he could present this counter Mod independent of his simultaneous turn mod...so I could use it on YT. Big thanks btw Kirk23 🙂

Anyways...a big mystery here. For some folks it works, others not.
I'm planning to just overwrite the vanilla NATO counters via Bitmaps with Kirk's wonderful counters, after I complete my YT series against GWTC. I am hesitant to mess with the game files till that epic match is done.

If there is any insight of what I maybe able to do to get this mod to work other my planned drastic action of just overwriting the original NATO counters, that would be great! 🤠

I've downloaded it now and got it working my side, though I did have a bit of an issue getting the graphics to show because the download included one folder within another both called Kirk23 Nato Graphics Version 3.

When I pasted simply the inner folder of those two, with its contents to C:\Users\Bill\Documents\My Games\Strategic Command - American Civil War\Mods, and then started up the game, it then worked and shows up in game.

I hope that might help in some way?

PS It looks really great too! 8-)

That was it!!!! Thanks Bill. It was the inner folder and I placed it in the Mods. Kirk will be pleased as will my viewers on YT!

Edit: Hey Kirk. So I used the mod in a YT episode and it will air Sept 3, 2022. I have a big favor (and I love the counters btw) The Corps counters don't 'pop' and look the same as the divisions. Is there anyway to color in the box that contains the NATO marker (the crossed rifles or x cross) for the Corps so it contrasts with the Divisions. I'll fiddle with my art software for an example..but in vanilla its real easy to see the Corps as the box is white. Otherwise its great!

Just to follow up on this one, it is indeed best to just put any type of customizations in the USER Mods folder as Bill suggested above.

The Community Pack folders is reserved for game use only, but glad to hear you got it all working in the end :)

You live and learn Hubert. :D I think the game is great really enjoy playing it and the larger map is superb having so much space to play with really keeps players on their toes, you really have to keep your eye on the ball and think carefully about every move, etc.

We are good to go Kirk!
Now I can spot both my opponents and my Corps at a glance.

Next episode I record will be using V4-(airs Sept 5, 2022-CSA turn 33 Jan 1863.)
Yes we are still alive and building a blue water navy -spoiler haha- and now both sides ships will shine...

Big Thanks,
Mike

Have often wondered what the NATO graphic for a Victorian ship would be!
