GD1938 newest version problem

Ok I realize most people wont ever get this because of how it works but,,,, after successfully threatening Poland it offers that threat again. I dont know if it is just a wrongly worded box or if it is actually doing it again.

What version? I believe I recoded it a few times.

On the load screen it says 108 does that version number change when you upload new ones? And yes, it was Poland this time they refused so it didn't lock the game up but did put me at war.

I recently downloaded the scenario can't remember when. It has BT-7A which is new.

It seems that the negative production malus on manpower recruitment is not working. I did France and was supposed to get 10 percent reduction on production yet when I did a production boost of 5 percent it had not taken the 10 percent

Funny, if that error has survived through all that play, and first be discovered now. Anyway, I'll look into it, and fix.

Iwasnt sure until the french one cause the game doesnt let you see the percent unless it changes and the other countries were only 5 percent so tell

Ok both the soviets and the US built fortifications and then they disappeared?

Depending on your version...

before 108 fortifications disappeared if they were not occupied with enough troops over time.

in 108 and beyond they have to be built in stages. Each stage has to have an engineer unit present of a certain size (40 engineer I or 20 engineer II or a combination of the two, where engineer 2 is weighted double that of engineer 1), if those are not present they will degrade, to the previous stage, which could mean, if there is no stage before it, that it disappears. In this case there is a number on the built fortification telling you when it is done.

The reason for the change in 108 was that people where using them by building them in hexes just taken. Moving foward, and then turtling up, so to speak.

well there is a problem if I pay to builf it on one turn it disappears the next turn and if I pay again, it is the same.

Sounds like you have version 108.

If you do, then the engineers need to stay there, until it is finished being built.

There is a number on the hex. That number changes each turn (I checked), until it goes from 1 to built. It is not a two turn process, but several turns. I did make the fortifications better though, so there is that. It's not all bad.

Well, that really depends on when you downloaded doesn't it ;)

In any case, I did test the countdown and it did work. The last version, the one that leaves you with the final fortification, comes after your engineers have been on the spot for 3 turns after building it. So it does take some time. If you don't write down the number, you might think that it hasn't moved. The engineers that are needed to build it (40 engineer I or 20 engineer II) should be frozen in place, and the process happen.

Your engineers will accumulate EPs, something that I won't allow in upcoming versions, which will require Phoenix to run, it was not possible in standard ATG, hence the renaming of the download to GD1938v3 Standard ...

Please write down the number that happens, document that you actually have the engineers needed there, and if the problem persists, I'll look into a save game, that you can send me, via dropbox. You are usually right there might be a problem, but I'd rather be totally sure.

I have a sneaking suspicion. ... are you running the Phoenix version of ATG or not?

I think there is a typo, or misunderstanding here. The percentage is an aggregate result. So the card is actually working correctly, but the text could be formulated better.
