Making the Game play Widescreen

Firing up this old forum again because the game is cheap and I love the idea of old ships slugging it out.

I have however an issue getting the game to run in full screen. I do the usual -cpu2 -fd -multiaudio -deepColor -altFont -px1920 -py1080

But it does not seem to work.

Any ideas?
