Updating Europe Aflame for TOAW4 (PO Question)

Post by basilstaghare »

PO is mentioned in the "Updating Europe Aflame for TOAW4" brief. Im wondering if anyone has actually tried an Axis (human) vs. Allies (AI) game? If yes, how far did you get? I understand that it would not handle many of the aspects of the scenario well but would it be "somewhat" playable and worth investing some time in? I had a 2 year PBEM game going with EA back in the day with TOAW III and it was a very rewarding experience. Looking at the updated scenario found from the "Recent Scenario Submissions for TOAW IV" thread brings back some memories....Thanks.

PO was introduced on EA TOAW IV update. It was tested and it works.
However EA is a complex scenario and understandably PO isn't up to the job completely.
If it's worth investing some time in it depends on your expectations.
If you aim to an ETO advanced simulation (with lots of strategic and operational options) play against an human opponent.
If you want to take a peek and taste the flavour of the scenario try the PO. Or then play solo.

I would try to find a dependable opponent and I'm sure you'll have a most rewarding TOAW experience.
This scenario is one of TOAW truly gems.
