numerical value for experience, how to get it?

i was watching some videos on youtube and noticed that player has numerical display for the experience, instead of icons


is there some mode, changes in a files or some hidden settings that will allow me to have the same view?

When the game starts, go to the options screen and click the button marked "advanced." Then in that menu click off the radio button marked "unit experience medals". That's it.
