Stack limit?

Post by Schlonz »

Hi all,

while playing the first of the Sirte scanrios, I've noticed my AI opponent stacked 8 units in one of the objective hexes.
Has the 6-units-per-hex stacking limit been abolished or is it a glitch?

BTW, I've played the scenario with "Enhanced Spotting" activated.
I've assaulted a pillbox for 3 turns, without even knowing I'm assaulting a pillbox until I've captured the hex.
Well, it's an optional rule and I don't have to use it, but I think it is a little too "foggy", anyway.

6 units per hex is not always the case. There are exceptional circumstances where the ordinary limit might be exceeded.

About that pillbox. Was it in a City or Suburb hex? Or?

Thanks for your reply, but "exceptional circumstances" is a rather vague explanation.

The pillbox was located in hex 45,5 of the first Sirte map....palm trees.

I just cannot enjoy the new spotting rules.
Playing "Battle for the Straits of Tiran" (Enhanced spotting: OFF), I could not spot a single fortification, road block or minefield
until a unit moved/successfully assaulted into that particular hex.

A new meengine.exe BETA available here

https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... 1#p5108241

addresses the fortifications no-show issue. For every assault resolution, both sides gain side awareness in the resolution hex, and all fortifications (and blocks) are revealed.
