Re: Storm Clouds Gathering (4-player game)
The following options, and house rules, are in play.
Notable change from previous games is that the 2d10 Land CRT option is now in play.
+ Only strategic bombing missions are allowed at night.
+ No CAP allowed.
+ SUBs always excluded in port strikes versus major ports.
+ Partisans must be placed actively, if possible, and then used actively. No 'hiding' partisans in remote areas just to increase partisan value.
+ No air reaction for naval searches from the mainland to the North Atlantic. Reacting from the Azores is ok. And flying actively during own impulse is also ok.
+ Chinese aircraft may not react to any sea area. They may actively fly to the sea area.
+ One VP lost for CW if there is any controlled country by Italy in Sub-Saharan Africa at the beginning of 1942. One more lost at he beginning of 1944, And one more at the end of the game. Up to a total of 3 VPs may be lost for CW that way.
+ France lose one VP if Madagascar is Axis controlled at the end of the game.
+ You can’t move naval units between the Baltic Sea and the North Sea (not even via Fredrikshavn or Kristiansand) if major powers you are at war with control at least 2 of Oslo, Copenhagen and Kiel. If you do not have access to passage, then ships in port must return to the sea zone that they entered from. (The exact wording of this house rule might change) Please check that I got the options right.

Looking forward to this. Couple of questions on your house rules.
"Strategic bombing only allowed at night". No daylight strategic bombing raids? Or only night mission allowed is strategic bombing? If so, what about airborne drops and transports?
Second question, what's the rationale behind not allowing CAP?

USSR set the majority of its forces on the Rumanian border as a cry for help is heard from the Slavic population in the region.
Most of the remaining forces are placed on the Persian border, to be prepared to assist the Persian government against insurrectionists and other rebels. Save sent.

- "Strategic bombing only allowed at night". I suppose that I should have had a 'only mission' in that sentence as the house rule is to limit night missions to only strategic bombing missions allowed at night. No air transports, and no air drops allowed at night. All missions allowed during the day. Multiple reasons for this. One is that I think the penalty for making night air drops, and night transports, is to low.
- No CAP is added to speed things up. Less interactions needed.

My prediction: Not using optional rule "Chinese Attack Weakness" will change the dynamics of the game significantly and will ultimatively decide it.

It looks to me like the Axis is outnumbered three to one!

I thought I knew how to play this game....

Poland takes a look at their defence force, and considers how they should be placed in preparation for any German attack.
