Version 1.19?

I just tried to start a PBEM game after not having played for a long time. I got a message saying I needed Version 1.19 to start with error client mismatch. So I went to the check for updates button and pressed it. It downloaded something {I presume newest version} I punched all the right buttons to finish download. But the splashscreen still shows version 1.18. Downloaded again, restarted computer. No change. What am I doing wrong?

O K, I just read an earlier post where I am supposed to check my steam library. What is the steam library?

If steam library refers to that steam application you have to have to play some games, well I went there. I clicked on library and I have a few games on there but Strategic Command is not one of them.

In your "My Page" you should have a list of your games. If you have SC WAW then it should appear there, and with it a "Download" tab for 1.19. I am not sure why 1.19 has not been available from the update button in the game menu. It seems it hasn't been since release.

Thank you for responding, but bear with me as I am not computeer savvy. If you are talking about Steam, I have it on my computer but when I click on it I can't find anything that says My Page. There is a Library heading and SCWAW is not on it. When I used to play online Steam never opened before a PBEM or any other session started. It still doesn't. So I am flumoxxed about how to click on or download anything..

O K. Now I see. You were referring to the My Page here at Matrix. I downloaded it and I am updated. Thank you for your assistance.

I've downloaded the version 1.19.0 update for Strategic Command: World at War and unfortunately my virus scanner is flagging it as suspicious. The virus scanner (McAfee) has quarantined the zip file and I'm not comfortable with overriding the scanner and proceeding blindly.

Is anyone else seeing this? Is this a known issue that requires overriding the virus scanner? Does anyone know what measures are taken to ensure that the downloads are currently virus free?

They are virus free, but antivirus software can on occasions be overzealous, as it appears to be here.
