4 SEASONS ALTERNATE GRAPHICS

I'm slowly cobbling together a new set of graphics, roughly corresponding to the units in Ormand's 4 Season's Mod.

I've decided to give up the "toon" look in favor of a more conventional look. I'm also going to be a little more economical. Instead of doing unique graphics for each generation of a unit (such as I, II, III, and IV). I'm going to stick to a one-size-fits-all-generations approach.

I think it's just too unrealistic to do so many unique graphics (such as Rifle I, Rifle II, Rifle III, Rifle IV, Staff I, Staff II...). I'll never get them all done at that rate. However, I will be doing unique graphics for each playable people group that Ormand features in 4 Seasons.

Everyone is welcome to do whatever you want with these graphics. You may use them in the vanilla game or any mod you'd like to fit them into, including your own mods.

You are free to post any mods you create using my graphics, though, if you use them in someone else's mod AND want to post it on Vic's Mods page, it's good etiquette to ask the original creator of the mod for permission to do so.

I'll be posting the new graphics piecemeal as I get them finished.

They look good. I wish that I could get my 3D models render like these.

And, there is a new beta coming that will have execs to set these graphics, so you don't have to do it manually, which would probably drive anyone crazy. It would require making a stringlist, which you can edit outside of ATG and then reload, to set the file names for the graphics that then get read during an event.

That is fantastic! I'm trying to give them a basic naming convention. Hopefully, that will also help make things a little easier.

I use Paint Shop Pro on them after I render them. All I do is open each pic and choose "sharpen more" and it makes everything stick out much better with more contrast. I could go try it on a couple of your aircraft images and see how they come out.

Actually, your renders are very good quality looking at them. I sharpened them a little but the improvement was marginal as they are already good quality.

They look a little sharper when I run them through Paint Shop Pro, but not by too much. They're already pretty clean renders. Here is a before and after GIF to show the difference. "Before" is your originals and "after" is after I sharpen them.

Paratroopers are finished.

Edit: Made a correction. The SE Asian paratrooper's skin was whiter than other SE Asian graphics. That has been corrected.

Alpine infantry pack. For the purposes of the preview I've made the backgrounds a cream color instead of white, since the alpine troops are mostly white. The attached game files have no background.

Here are the marines. Goatees and smoking cigarettes. These guys are bad asses.

The game files have no backgrounds, however, for clarity (so you can better see the bayonets) I put green backgrounds on the previews instead of white.

There are a total of 4 different LMG subformations in 4 Seasons for each regime/people group. I'll be using the format below for ALL light machine gun graphics. These are the Marine LMGs. I'll also need to do Airborne, Mountain, and standard infantry versions.

I like this version better than the LMGs I did a couple of months ago in one of my other threads. The gunners are laying prone on the ground which is the way I typically see LMGs deployed in vintage photos.

Standard LMGs. The only difference between a regimes various LMGs will be the uniform. The standard LMG utilizes the regimes standard rifle uniform and the marine LMG utilizes the standard marine uniform, etc. Will post Mountain (alpine) LMGs and Airborne LMGs later down the road.
