Will Not Run - New Install

I installed and game went to the start screen. After setting the player and starting, it says that the windguage art file cannot be located (it is in the folder per Explorer). Then it just locks up, eventually throwing off a dozen dubplicative error messages.

Any suggestions? I am running Windows 11.

Are you a new EIA player or have you previously installed and played the game but having problems now?

I would suggest a clean install of the remastered installer "[PC] Empires in Arms Setup Installer v1.23.08
EmpiresInArms-SetupRelease-v1.23.08.zip" from your registered downloads from MY PAGE above. Verify that works. Then update to the latest official patch [PC] Update v1.25.03. Verify that works. Then try installing the latest beta for v1.26. See if all that works. If you get the windguage file error at some point along the way, let me know? Sorry about all this, but it sounds like a bad install somewhere.

I did a clean install on my 2d laptop and it worked. I'll try a reinstall on my 1st and see. Thanks.
