issue with game

new to the game, playing alt campaign game and it got to the point where I couldnt separate units in a stack, whenI tried looking at units in city or outside a french unit was showing up but i was playing the spanish turn??. unable to do an attack as i couldnt chose a unit? I have the newest version installed? playing as the french and spanish against ai other countries.

You're playing as France and Spain. They are separate, not combined, and you have to play them as separate. You can form an alliance and lend units back and forth, but that's the only way to have combined forces. Otherwise, you play as France and then you play as Spain. It sounds like you're trying to select French units as the Spanish player, and you cannot do that. See if this helps and play some more. You're getting there!
