[WAD] Bavar-373 radars unable to detect ALBM

The Bavar-373 system has 3 radars, 2 of them 3D, is unable to detect the Golden Horizon ALBM.

Not sure is a bug, or considered as a bad system.


Perhaps is considered propaganda what is said in the wiki article?

And the launching platform is an F-15I, not F-35 and also not detected.

The PESA radar attached to the system has a relatively low detection range for an ABM system so it will really only detect them once the missile is going terminal. Plus you have it positioned in such a way that the terrain is masking the radar so it only detects the missiles at the last second. And finally the ALBM is going to fast for the missile to engage when it hits the ground. The ALBM is going 6000kt's when it impacts and the SAYAAD-4 missile has a maximum target speed of 5500kt
