size of ships is too small

Post by vaalen »

I have greatly enjoyed previous games in the strategic command series. So much so, that I have bought every strategic command game in the last few years as soon as it comes out.

It was awhile before I tried playing War in the Pacific, and I found the size of ships, even at the closest zoom level, to be too small. I could see them, but the icons were so tiny that I did not enjoy the combat animations. The size of land units was also small, but better.

Is there anything that can be done about this?

Are you talking about the "3-D" type icons? I can't say I see any difference in ship size between this game and any other game in the series.

There is no difference in counter size between this and our other games, so the solution may lie in the settings you are playing the game in.

Got to be your settings on your end. Everything looks the standard it has been with all the SC3 games for years.

Thanks for the help. It was the settings. Using a much lower resolution worked.

I have to cut the resolution of my 4k monitor in half to be able to play any of these games.

What ever happened to the days when games came programmed with different internal resolution settings?

Had to kick and scream and fuss to get them to add "scaling" to War in the East2.

Why are game designers so derelict these days?

If you go to Settings you can choose from potential resolutions to use, the choice available being based on your system's availability.
