Alert triggers

Korsun Pocket is a the second game using the award winning SSG Decisive Battles game engine. Korsun Pocket recreates the desperate German attempt to escape encirclement on the Russian Front early in 1944. The battle is a tense and exciting struggle, with neither side having a decisive advantage, as the Russians struggle to form the pocket, then try to resist successive German rescue efforts and last ditch attempts at breakout.

In a game of KP against the AI, me as the Soviets, I went to great pains not to activate any southern cities German reinforcment alert objectives.

Now my question is, to capture an objective, do you physically need to reside in hex or will the trigger still activate if you pass through?

I think the latter, as I notice that the city has now turned to my control even though no units have been stationed there.

Is this correct? or maybe a case of the City turns to your control if it in your zone?

I believe this being the case. Since Ive just passed a city with a unit from next hex and when my control zone went over the city I got it as mine.
