Grumman sells out to Brewster Aircraft

Post by spence »

(Washington DC) The Navy Department today announced that Brewster Aircraft will be taking over the struggling Grumman Aircraft Co in order to meet the enormous demand for quality naval fighter planes in the Pacific. A Brewster official immediately announced that the company would be converting the current Grumman plant on Long Island from producing the troubled F4F to the battle tested Brewster F2A. An experimental plane designated the F6F by the former Grumman Corp, which had been undergoing operational testing has been cancelled.

No kidding folks - April 43 and the Wildcat factory converts to Buffaloes

That sounds quite weird indeed... Maybe you have lot of Brewster squadrons...and they are answering to popular demand...[X(]

Never heard of that happening before. It sounds like it's time to hit alt-N and take over human control of the aircraft factories.
Civil war? What does that mean? Is there any foreign war? Isn't every war fought between men, between brothers?

The Buffalo is a fine airplane. Hell, I would delay production of the Corsair and Hellcat to keep the Buff in fleet service.
