Anyone played the 76 turn scenario?

Battles In Normandy is the third game in the Decisive Battles game series. Battles in Normandy recreates all aspects of the Normandy campaign, from the landings on the first day to the final climax of the campaign at Falaise. Strategic Studies Group rewrote the Decisive Battles game engine for Battles in Normandy with a host of new special rules for amphibious and airborne operations, plus a huge number of other enhancements.

Anyone played the 76 turn scenario?

Post by Guderon »

I just played the Omaha scenario to familiarize myself with gameplay, (BTW, it turns out that one's troops are *much* more effective if one actually unloads them by clicking the unload button after moving to a beach hex[8|]) and was wondering if anyone has played the 76 turn scenario from Run5. I'd like to play that one next instead of the standard campaign scenario and was curious about what folks thought of it. Comments?

Thanks for the response Joe98. I don't really care about how hard it is - what do you think of the scenario itself? Is it well done? Is it worth my time? Have you played it against the AI?

Not played against the AI.

The definition of a good scenario is that near the end the score is close. In this PBEM hame is will be :)

I think its well worth the effort to play[:D] There are more possible outcomes than the 32 turn campaign... including Allies being driven into the sea OR a full OPN Cobra style breakout.

Since my gaming time is pretty limited due to Real World TM demands, I only make scenarios that I want to play. This one is my favorite of all the BIN scenarios.

I highly recommend it. [:D]

That's good enough for me. BTW JSS, I know you made this scenario and I appreciate your work. I've got v.2.01 - is that going to be the final version? Or should I wait awhile before starting?
