May be the best treaty I have ever made

Post by Hard Sarge »

it is 1798, and I have been at war with England for about 6 years, I win battle after battle, but they keep becomeing protectors of new minors

each time I hurt them, I can not hur them HARD enough to do any good
(have gained a few provinces)

most of my navy is lock in port, as I won't waste it in worthless battle

I had a chance to trap 475,000 Russian in East Prussia, but they are at war with England too, and I can start a war with them, in fact, England is at war with all of Europe

and without wars, I can't do anything

so, will try a new idea

I will ask England to surrender to me, but I got to make it worth it to them

offer them peace for 10 years, offer to defend them for 10 years, they will offer allaince with me for 10 years also

LOL and behold, the English see the light and agree to my offer

England surrenders to me, and now I am at war with Europe (except Spain)

I took West Prussia from them, and 40 colonies

now it is time to put my 2,100,000 troops to work

H_S didn't make clear - he is teasing you with a new feature of version 1.2: the ability to make a treaty with someone you are at war with if it includes one party surrendering. And I agree - it is very cool.

Plz find a way to tell the Royal Navy to turn active again after hiding in a Mediterranean port of mine for over 10 years (- long enough for the Brits there to forget they served with the UK? [:o]).

That's another one that get's me. How do you get somebody out of your ports? ...I'm not talking about somebody blockading my port...but someone whose ships now sit on my particular piece of terra firma. It'd be nice if you had an option to fire on them.

if the ships are violateing your area, you should get a pop up, asking what you want to do ?

in fact, I was going to ask to get that part turned off, I don't care if ships are at port, only armies ?

Update on Europe at War, Treaty style

massive battles the first month
154,000 French vs 54,000 Aus
126,000 French vs 104,000 Turks
97,000 French vs 131,000 Sweds, Rus, Rebels
70,000 French vs 38,000 Aus, Prus
94,000 French vs 72,000 Swed, Rus, Rebels (2nd battle same province)

plus a number of smaller battles

I lose around 14,000 to 86,000

month 2 was a little more peaceful

142,000 French vs 123,000 Aus, Turks
139,000 French vs 266,000 Rus
219,000 French vs 54,000 (odd, I didn't write down who I fought !)

Shocking news, the Russian Army defended my Poles !, the shame, the horror, the dogs !!!!

very heavy fog for most of the morning and afternoon, ruined any firepower or range edge I had, plus, a large number of mili in these Polish Armies, once the Fog cleared, the rains began, I cried out for help, and another French army rushed to my aid, which the Russians also called for help !
just when it looked like my reinforcements were going to turn the tide, the main Polish army broke, once they broke, they took every one else with them,

I lost 33,000 to there 46,000 plus many small battles

Prussia Surrenders

month 3

the Russians rush to there Allied side in Aus

225,000 French square off vs 245,000 Rus, Aus
of course, they are defeated, when the Turks come rushing to there aid

216,000 French now hold the field vs 124,000 Turks and Russians

I lose 15,000 men, they lose 80,000 , I even picked up 3 Arty units, that didn't disband after captured, I think I took 9 Arty Divs in the last 3 months, gaining 3 (the Swiss Guard has four Captured Arty for support now)

Russia and Turkey surrender

(Russia lost well over 2000 morale in one month !)
(Turkey was crushed at the start of the war, just waiting to fail)
(Aus is still in the war, but it is just a matter of time, they have been at -900 since the first month)

only the Sweds remain

and.... England and Spain even sort of like me :)

next month
215,000 French vs 103,000 Aus
lots of rain, but enough clear skies to ruin the Aussys day, 24,000 Aussies go down and they finally give up

only Sweden remains at war with me, and it is going to be more of hit and run war, but I am closeing in

LOL

Sweden, tried to slip into southern France though Spain !

but my brand new Corps in Paris was able to slip down and spoil there fun, then the Army Waffen showed up and crushed that little joy ride

once the front settled down a bit, the Army Waffen got a new Corps added in, renamed KG Horse, to go along with the Corps already in tow, KG Guns and KG INF

Oh My
took a while but Sweden finally sees the light (of course with all the fires burning in there homeland, it should of been easy to see)

but they did there duty, they took time off the clock for the rest of Europe

I was force to declare war on Russia and Turkey to protect Spain and England

the next month, War is Declared on Aus and Prussia for the same reason

of course, since I was trying to clean up some of the narrowminded people of the world, I am in a very un Nappy state of being on the outside of the defence

dang Turks toar up my fleet, strange you would think the English would at least protrol the Channel named after them ! (the dogs)

man this is strange...the french seem one of the most popular nations in this game, while in 99% of other strategy games they are one of the most unpopular (for obvious current political issues). IS this the same with other Nappy games?

Hmmm, I think it may be point of view, from the posts, I think alot of people have been playing as the Turks (which to me, seems strange for a Nappy game)

Of course most people prefer France...that is where Napoleon is. I think in this game, his prowess means less, since many things that made him great are built into the mechanics of this game and effect everyone else. Turkey can be fun...as long as you have 4 years of peace to allow you time to be able to churn out some decent troops.

Austria is fun to play, leaving out my suspicion about its commanders' lack of initiative.
