Skirmisher deadlock

Post by Grand_Armee »

Are these games much different than the earliest titles like Waterloo and Borodino? I played them to death, then got tired of having 4 battalions numbering some 2k men stopped by 25 skirmishers in an open field. It really killed the game for me.
...seems like a long time ago...when Napoleon 1813 loomed on the horizon only to fizzle.

suspect that this problem could (and Should) be fixed by changing some defensive value of skirmishers. They are way too tough vs cavalry as well as are routed units skirmishers and routers should vaporize when hit by anything else. This problem is true of the HPS games as well.
