An idea for v7.1: printing maps

SPWaW is a tactical squad-level World War II game on single platoon or up to an entire battalion through Europe and the Pacific (1939 to 1945).

An idea for v7.1: printing maps

Post by Lost Lieutenant »

Don't know how feasible this is...but here goes: I'd like to see some way to print maps. Back in the old days, I used to take my tabletop games and make copies of the maps at Kinkos. That way I could plan out missions on paper using a smaller version of the real map. It really helped in planning operations. With computer games I find myself drawing up maps, but they aren't very accurate.

Does anyone know of an application that can do this at present? If not, then how feasible would it be to implement it?

when you install SPWAW you get also an application named MAPTHING; with this program you can make a PDF version of the battlefild and then you can print it!

But mapthing can't produce maps from PBEM games beacuse they are encrypted.
