Logos in PNG Format?

Right now I think Puresim only supports .gif files for logos. Is there any way to add support for .png files? Aside from helping to create an "industry standard" among baseball sims, it would allow for higher quality logos. I just converted a bunch of my custom .png logos to .gif, and they look rather ugly...
