manual font

Post by Motomouse »

Hi, thanks for the interesting game and the good documentation.

I think the font of the COTA pdf manual is not the best choice for screen viewing. It is much easier for me to read for an example the font of the TOAW manual on the screen. But perhaps I have just a local problem? I tried already several options (local fonts, font smoothing, different zoom levels) but i still not get the desired quality. This is true also for the print version on the screen. Perhaps it is possible to change the fonts for screen viewing locally? Any advice is appreciated.

Regards
Motomouse

I am using adobe reader 7.0 (I just tried adobe reader 5.0, this improves the font quality on the screen a lot over here in my opinion)

I found a viable screen reading solution for me with adobe reader 7.0.
I changed the font color from black to a dark grey, the result is quite readable.

Motomouse,

Thanks for your post. I am a surprised to hear this. None of our testers complained about this and some of these guys have poor eyesight like me. [:)] Does anyone else have a problem viewing the manual text?

BTW the manual uses two standard fonts - Times Roman for the text body and Ariel for the action points.
