Problem with secure games as second player...

Alright, I am fairly certain it is just me being stupid and not understanding how the game works. Ok here's how it goes:

I am currently playing a game of operation shingle, not secure, as the allies, therefore the first player. I have tried to set up secure games in which I would be the axis, but heres what happens. I create the secure setup to send the opponent. the opponent recieves it, and it works correctly. The opponent then sends me back the turn, and I get an error message stating : This file cannot be opened. This game is not registered on this computer.

Any idea what this means? And I noted that when I send a secure setup, there is no mention of a newly created game under the PBEM section in the start menu.
