Laptop display issue

I have just bought a new laptop. When playing this game every other line of text is fuzzy. It does not seem to effect Word documents or any other application. I am still checking to see if any other display is effected, but currently this is the only Matrix game I have installed (CHS will be transferred across once I have my network up and running).

Is this a faulty screen problem (Dell 15.4" wxvga or something like that) or can I make some adjustments?

While I'm not familiar with laptops, have you tried the alt font command line in the short cut? It might make the text more readable.
